How xFLOWer Transformed in 2024 and What Lies Ahead in 2025 — A Year-End Review by Owner and Managing Director Zsolt Szederkényi

From the outside, the software industry may seem simple: we develop something, then sell it. The reality, however, is far more complex, particularly for a company with decades of experience. For xFLOWer, 2024 was a year of renewal — in technology, organization and strategy alike.

2024 — a busy but productive year

On the technology front, we rebuilt xFLOWer on entirely new foundations. We developed a modern, streamlined user interface that is not only visually appealing but also intuitive. Our mobile app allows users to access their processes anytime, anywhere, increasing efficiency and flexibility while keeping pace with rapidly evolving business needs. Our AI-powered developments opened up new possibilities: we introduced the xFLOWer.ai process modeler, which uses prompts to support process modeling, along with an AI-powered chat assistant, now available to everyone on xflower.hu.

xFLOWer has become more than just a workflow platform: it is now a central component of business operations. Through APIs, it connects seamlessly to modern infrastructure, including Microsoft, OpenAI and Amazon systems, enabling comprehensive integration.

We also renewed the way our organization operates, moving forward with new colleagues and a fresh, modern corporate culture. External consultants contributed to this transformation: as xFLOWer evolves, the company is also preparing to reach the next level, a step we are already laying the groundwork for proactively and systematically. Our sales strategy also changed; our partner network proved particularly successful, generating half of our new sales in 2024.

We placed particular emphasis on strengthening our involvement in professional associations. These forums are among the most valuable settings for knowledge sharing and professional dialogue, both of which are especially important to us. We became more active in existing partnerships and joined communities where we can gain a closer understanding of client needs and champion process management at a high professional standard.

The challenges of 2024

Economic and political uncertainty delayed numerous projects. Clients were often reluctant to make decisions, leaving many prepared projects short of the contract-signing stage, despite businesses being committed to targeted improvements. Meanwhile, major technology companies also entered smaller markets, creating significant competition for us — making it essential to sharpen our differentiation and focus.

Low pricing and demand for inexpensive solutions meant that many clients did not recognize the value of consulting and strategic support, which created further challenges. However, we are seeing signs of change in these trends: companies now expect efficiency gains not only from the product itself, but also from outsourcing planning, support and operations. They need solutions that are easy to use yet professional — precisely the vision behind xFLOWer.

2025: A year of new foundations

In preparation for the new year, we identified three key priorities. First, through the xFLOWer.ai platform, we will focus on AI-assisted process assessment, making decision-making simpler and faster for clients. Second, we will expand our consulting services through both in-house specialists and partners, providing comprehensive support from software implementation to strategic process design. Third, we will complement our workflow platform with ready-to-use solutions, enabling clients to achieve their goals faster and integrate new, reliable processes into their operations immediately.

Beyond this, we will continue to place strong emphasis on education, including initiatives that extend beyond our direct operations. We have not only launched internal training programs but also actively supported international physics competitions, developed course materials for Óbuda University, and established the MTMI-iskola Foundation to help educate the professionals of the future. Developing the next generation of talent in the technology sector faces significant challenges, and we have a fundamental interest in sparking enthusiasm for process management — reaching talented people who may later work in the field or apply it in practice.

In 2025, our focus will be on innovation and knowledge, because we believe these are the foundations of the future — for xFLOWer and the economy as a whole.
